Dangerous Drugs - Fosamax
Fosamax, a popular osteoporosis drug, has been linked to a serious and potentially fatal bone disease known as Osteoporosis of the Jaw (ONJ). Fosamax is also prescribed to treat Paget's disease. It is a member of the bisphosphonates series of drugs.
Patients using the drug are advised to steer away from major dental work and tooth extractions. If any dental or jaw pain persists while using the drug, patients are advised to seek medical treatment immediately.
